JEWISH LIFE IN KALAMAZOO: With Kalamazoo nearly directly between Detroit and Chicago WMU has seen an increasing population of Jewish students in recent years. The Kalamazoo community has two local synagogues and a Jewish federation that helps to support WMU Hillel:
